Great news from l'Estartit! A real crack, as a swimmer, but also as a person, will be with you at the 13th Neda el Món Illes Medes per la Marató de TV3 by ZOGGS that we are organizing on May 8, 2022. We are referring to Pol Gil, swimmer from Club Natació Barcelona, 5-time Spanish Open Water Champion, bronze in the 2019 Barcelona European Cup and participant in the 2016 Open Waters Pre-Olympic.

It is an honor for Neda el Món that Pol can share this swim with us. Apart from taking part in our crossing, Pol will be one of the speakers at the Open Water Clinic that we are organizing on Saturday the 7th at 5pm. After the crossing, he will bring the medals to the winners of each category and he will be available to take pictures with you during the Meet & Greet on Estartit beach.

Guillem Pujol will also take part in Medes! As Pol Gil, also Guillem Pujol will be with you at the 13th Neda el Món Illes Medes per la Marató de TV3 by ZOGGS that we are organizing on May 8, 2022. Guillem, CN Mataró international swimmer, has an enviable career: 10th place in the 5km World Championship in 2019, absolute Spanish champion in 10km in 2018, Spanish absolute runner-up in 1500m and 800m freestyle in 2021, 5th place in the Canada World Cup in 2019 and Catalonia's current 3000m record.

Surely you know someone who does not feel like swimming 3,900 m or 5,100 m, but what about 1,700 m ? That's one of the distances we've in the program of the 13th Neda el Món Illes Medes per la Marató de TV3 by ZOGGS that will be held on May the 8th!

The start of the swim will be at the Meda Gran, and the finish at the Estartit beach. A glass bottom boat will take the swimmers to the start.

If you are already swimming 3,900 m or 5,100 m, but want to encourage someone to start with this open water thing, this is the perfect swim! Check the price for swimming both distances and join your partner or friend in the water!

Before we start talking about how to make your son or daughter fall in love with open water swimming we must clarity that the main goal of participating in such events should be having fun! In all of our crossings we include a Kids Open Water Crossing so that from an early age they learn to love the sea and find enjoyment in swimming in an open water environment. 

In that regards, the Medes Junior  is the kids version of the non-competive Neda El Món crossings. It is a leisure and free activity set up to promote open waters from a young age. In this year's event, every kid will be able to register for one of the crossings of 50m, 100m and 200m. And as it happened in Swim Barcelona, if parents want to join their kids while they swim, they can do so.
