September and October are the months where we reap the fruits of the work of the entire season. First Gibraltar, then Bonifacio and Croatia-Montenegro, to finish in mid-October with Rhodes-Marmaris.

This week we start with 3 groups in the Strait of Gibraltar. All the groups made a crossing with Neda el Món last year and, therefore, arrive more than prepared for the challenge. We have been in Tarifa for a few days already, finishing coordinating the groups and waiting for Levante to give us a break and to complete the challenges.

The first group to cross from Europe to Africa is composed by Anna Aleksandrova (Latvia), Xabier Arteche (Spain), Xavier Casero (Spain) and Davide Tamborrini (Switzerland). The second, with Meery-Kaya Kühne (Germany), Renate Sumska (Latvia), Andrei Dolzhenko (Russia) and Dmitriy Budkov (Kazakhstan).

Special mention for the third group. Like last year in Bonifacio, this group is made up of 4 Ukrainian ex-war combatants. All 4 have suffered the mutilation of some limb during the conflict, and all 4 have found in sport, in this case, in open water, a way to overcome themselves, overcome fears and grow as human beings. They are Demian Dudlia, Vadym Fedorenko, Artem Kaidan and Maksym Hrinchenko.

You can follow the crossings on our Social Media, on our WhatsApp channel here or the Telegram channel here.

Good luck our loved swimmers!
