A devastating loss: coach Boris Pallarès has died
4/4/2026
After years of struggle, our beloved coach Boris Pallarès left us this week. Boris, together with his teacher Jonathan Gómez, founded and developed the Club Neda el Món in early 2012, and has been (and will continue to be) an undisputed reference for our swimmers. We will never forget you, Boris!
Beyond his career as a coach, Boris began as a swimmer at the Club Natació Badalona, ??where he began a path marked by talent, effort and an immense passion for this sport. Later, he continued his journey at the CE Mediterrani, where he established himself as one of the great backstroke specialists and achieved several Catalan titles.
A former professional swimmer in the absolute category, sports director and physical trainer, until very recently he continued to be linked to the competition as a swimmer for the Jerez Natación Máster. Throughout his career he was Spanish champion on multiple occasions in the master category, both in individual and team events. He also stood out internationally with an amazing 4th world position in Budapest 2017 and a 9th place in Fukuoka 2023.
Rest in peace, our friend Boris
