It’s a privilege being able to swim around Cap Norfeu: impressive underwater views, full of caves and rocks shaped like a cat. Cap Norfeu is exceptional, little known and rather difficult if the weather is bad, but spectacular, charming and full of stories of fishermen, pirates and smugglers. Cap Norfeu invokes a sad story too: After the Spanish Civil War a concentration camp was built there. Its prisoners were obliged to build the railway to France. Cap Norfeu is part of the Cap de Creus Natural Park. Anybody interested can follow the crossing from the touristic boat. It’s 5,800m, from Cala Jóncols to Cala Monjoi.
Routes
Cala Jóncols – Badia de Montjoi. 5.800 metres.
Alternative in bad weather conditions - 2.000 m
